Maria Espinoza is well-known for her success in gaining national recognition when Donald Trump embraced and recognized her organization The Remembrance Project. She is known as the person who brought the Angel Moms, Dads and Families to Donald Trump during the 2015-16 Presidential election cycle. Maria was proud to represent Texas as a Statewide Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2016, and as a Delegate in the 2018 Republican State Convention.
Maria has fought hard for the safety of Texas families. Through her organization, she joined President Trump in defending Texas against the leftists by filing an Amicus Brief in the lawsuit over Texas' SB4, which would help keep our communities safe.
In 2015, she stood up to the Obama Administration's unconstitutional amnesty and supported her home state of Texas, once again, by filing another Amicus Brief supporting Texas and 25 other states.
She is the creator of the “Stolen Lives Quilt”, a visual memorial that honors and remembers Americans killed by illegal aliens, and is nationally recognized as the foremost expert on the impacts and cost in human lives that open borders and non-enforcement of immigration laws are causing.
A highly sought after expert, she has given hundreds of radio interviews across America. Maria has appeared on Fox News, Fox Business Channels, NRA TV with Grant Stinchfield, OAN, Christian Broadcasting Network, DOVE TV, Hagee Network, Neil Cavuto, Lou Dobbs, and also interviewed with Tucker Carlson on Latino support for Donald Trump. Maria was correct then, and is confident she will bring out the Latino vote in 2020 for a GOP win!
Even Univision named Maria as one of America’s top “15 immigration hawks defining Trump’s agenda”; the only female named alongside Steven Bannon, Stephen Miller, former Sec. of State Kris Kobach, former AG Jeff Sessions, Gov. Greg Abbott, LT. Gov. Dan Patrick, AG Ken Paxton, to name a few.
On January 25, 2017, she stood alongside President Trump and General John Kelly at the White House signing of the Executive Orders on border security, where he handed Maria the pens [see photo] with which he signed the orders. Later, in April 2017, and in fulfillment of a campaign promise to Maria and her organization that, when elected, he would more directly assist Angel Families, the President formed the Office of “Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement” (VOICE).
In addition to speaking across the country Maria has testified before Congress on National Security alongside National Border Patrol Council President, Brandon Judd, participated in roundtable discussions with all levels of law enforcement, including a meeting with heads of every law enforcement agency in the nation as part of Trump's Transition Team, submitted to the Transition Team a White Paper for the creation of a victims' office, met with several Trump Administration high level cabinet officials in Justice, Homeland Security and in the State Department and has attended murder trials and criminal hearings with surviving families.
A native Texan and an accomplished former collegiate distance runner, Maria earned All-American status as a Miler at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. After living and working in Washington, DC, for two (2) years after Donald Trump's win, she and her husband Tim Lyng returned to Houston to continue the fight for Texas.
Maria is not a politician and will not sell-out to liberals. She has withstood The Swamp and The Deep State, and is determined to stop the left's destructive agenda. The rest of the nation depends on Texas. There's no room for error! Vote for Maria to represent you in Washington, DC.
